Michigan City, what a lovely story, isn’t it? and in a moment The overall charm of the story and the always sincere actor playing the lead character help keep the film together. Copeland and director David Frankel doesn’t trust Jerry and Marge. They mix up their sweet story with unnecessary foes in the form of a bunch of Harvard millionaires who discover the same vulnerability. And the film ends up being less interesting as it enters a rather bland finale. I want to hang out with Jerry and Marge for the first show. Two people trying to figure out what their next life will be like. Before the film abandoned the subtlety of planning a TV movie.
