Loosely based on Japanese legend, the first Ronin 47 follows John Wick’s star Keanu Reeves as Kai, a half-Japanese and British expelled from Lord Asano’s family, who joins Ronin when Lord Asano is punished for assaulting Lord Ki. The rivalry was asked to make seppuku. Kai and the other samurai also realized that their master did not make a mistake and intended to take revenge on Lord Kira. Based on the fictional story of a samurai living in 18th-century Japan, the 2013 film was Karl Rinch’s directorial debut. Universal Pictures made his film debut with H2F Entertainment, Relatively Media and Stuber Productions ( Scott Stuber now runs Netflix’s Film Division) behind the film.
