Ammu Movie Review Ammu: Aishwarya Lekshmi shines as a survivor of domestic abuse in this refreshing tale of poignant and relevant issues from first-person director Charukesh Sekar Aishwarya. Lekshmi plays Ammu. The film begins with a conversation between a young girl and Ammu. who is about to marry Ravi (Naveen Chandra), her neighbor who works as a police inspector The little girl asked Ammu if she liked Ravi and if she was ready for marriage. Ammu said she thought she knew him and asked the girl why she asked such a question. In one of the best movie scenes Ravi’s character is beautifully introduced. It doesn’t take long for viewers to learn about his true colors. Ammu’s world begins to crumble when she learns about Ravi’s abusive and believable behavior. The rest of the story is about how Ammu dealt with domestic violence and whether she was successful in teaching her husband a lesson.
